 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Leaves are opposite, simple, 3 to sometimes 5-lobed, and 2-5" in length and width. Leaves change in late fall from dark green to reddish-orange. Samaras are 1-3" in length and are a reddish-brown at maturity.

Additional Information

The October Glory Maple is one of the more popular Red Maple cultivars used in landscapes. This cultivar tends to hold its lustrous green leaves well into the fall season before changing to a vivid reddish-orange. Early freezes in northern parts of the country can hinder fall color.
