The Cogwheel represents Alpha Pi Mu, the National Industrial Engineering Honor Society. The Purdue Chapter of the society was chartered in 1959. The Cogwheel sculpture was erected by Mr. R.W. Gehres and Professor O.D. Lascoe. More information on Alpha Pi Mu Contact Page.
