Ulmus davidiana var. japonica 'Prospector'

'Prospector' is a cultivar with excellent resistance to Dutch elm disease (DED) and is smaller than American varieties. It is fast-growing and requires maintenance to keep its vase shape, but it works well as a street tree. It has showy emerging leaves and a brilliant yellow fall color.

'George Barrett' is a cultivar with an upright-spreading vase shape with wisps of arching branches. Its dark green leaves in summer mature into a strong red red-orange fall color. It also has large exfoliating gray bark revealing tan underneath.
