This multi-stemed tree has simple, opposite, coarsely toothed leaves, 1.5-4.5" long and 1-3" in width, generally with 3 main lobes. New growth has a reddish hue that fades to brown in maturity.
 Special Characteristics:

Additional Information

This species can withstand moderate drought and coarser soils better than other maples, but prefers moist soils that are sligthly acidic.
