 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Simple, evergreen, 0.5-1" long leaves are slightly lobed at apex, and appear whorled at top of stem. Has a 1-2" long terminal flower spike.

    • Additional Information

    Tolerates full shade, and requires at least partial shade. Does well under shallow-rooted trees with some irrigation. One of the most effective ground covers in resisting encroachment of weeds. Volutella leaf blight can be problem.
