Glossy, evergreen leaves (1.25-3.5" long by 0.3-0.75" wide) are oblong, crenate-serrate are dark green above and lighter green beneath. Stems are green to golden yellow, somewhat angled.

    • Additional Information

    Excellent large shrub specimen with handsome, lustrous, evergreen foliage, prominently red new growth in the spring, and small, interesting, urn-shaped flowers. Leaf spots, Phytophthora induced die back, and lace bug are most problematic. Struggles in alkaline and heavy, wet soils.
