Diagnostic Characteristics:
Alternate leaves are ovate-oblong, 2-3" long and 1-2" wide, glossy, pointed, finely serrate, usually long acuminate. Fruits are usually terminal, whereas Celastrus orbiculatus fruits are generally axillary.
