Nepeta racemosa is a low-growing perenial that typically forms a spreading clum with upright stems that are roughly 12 inches tall. The mass wil reach about 18 inches in width. Leaves are a grey-green, ovate in shape, and hairy that are about 1 inch long. They have prominent veining and a heart shaped base. The leaves are fragrant when crushed or damaged. Flowers are lilac in color clustered in flase whorls and bloom in the spring. Under the right conditions they may continue to bloom throughout the summer and into early fall.

Additional Information

This catmint is a low growing perennial that is easily grown. It is different in most that the seeds are sterile. It's typically used in rock gardens and is a good plant for edging.
