 Diagnostic Characteristics:
'Victor' has smaller leaves than most 'P.J.M' Hybrids. Leaves have rusty-scaly beneath. Leaves elliptic, leathery, dark green above in summer becoming deep mahogany to purplish in winter.

Additional Information

The compact and slow-growing cultivar 'Victor' is the earliest of the 'P.J.M' Hybrid group to bloom. One of the most cold tolerant flower buds of the evergreen rhododendrons. Flowers can become a dirty looking lavender soon after opening. Susceptible to a large number of pests and diseases, which can largely be prevented by good cultural practices.
