Flower Notes:
White (Pure white 4-petalled flowers (1-2" dia.) in early June, not abundant but nevertheless aesthetic)
Foliage Notes:
Green (Attractive foliage of unusual, crisp texture in summer; no fall color change)
Fruit Notes:
Black (Glossy black berries, usually in 4's, emerging in the fall and lasting into winter)
Diagnostic Characteristics:
Leaves are opposite, 2.5-4" long and half as wide, sharply and doubly serrate, and silky beneath with distinctly parallel and ribbed veins. Stems shiny green when young.
