Widely adapted to soils, but best with adequate moisture and a pH of 6.0-7.5
Diagnostic Characteristics:
Leaves of 'Goldflame' change a variety of gold, yellow, and bronze colors throughout the seasons. Simple, alternate, 1-3" long, lanceolate leaves, are sharply and doubly serrate, and more pale green underneath. Stems are narrow and slightly angled.
