Flower Notes:
Flowers are borne on racemes. The buds emerge with a soft pink tint and open to be white.
Foliage Notes:
Deeply lobed, heart-shaped at the base. Bright, rich green with prominent reddish-bronze to deep burgundy variegation
Fruit Notes:
Small, dry, two-valved capsule. Dried seeds are dispersed by wind and rain. The capsule resembles a tiara with one valve of the capsule being larger than the other (a nod to its genus, Tiarella).
Soil Notes:
Prefers consistently moist, humus-rich soil. Does not like soil drying out or sitting in saturated soils during winter.
