 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Mostly scale-like leaves (<0.2" long), usually in pairs, sharp pointed, and 4-ranked. Long ascending branches with numerous upward projecting branchlets.

Additional Information

'Plumosa Compacta Youngstown' is a very low-growing and wide-spreading male cultivar with dense branches of gray-green foliage. Widely adapted to soils and climates. Tolerates slightly alkaline and heavy clay soils, but not wet soils. Young plants can be seriously injured by Phomopsis blight in some areas. Plants of all ages are susceptible to mite infestation. It is also commonly called Andorra Juniper.
