Overlapping, curved, awl-shaped leaves (1/8-1/6" long) in whorls of 3 and with 2 gray to white bands. New growth is creamy white. Ellipsoidal cone (0.25-0.3" long) contains a single ridged seed.

Additional Information

'Variegata' is a low-growing and spreading shrub with creamy white new shoots. This plant gained its common name from the single seed borne by each cone. Widely adapted to soils and climates. Does well in alkaline soils, but not wet soils. Susceptible to bagworms.
