Diagnostic Characteristics:
Elliptical leaves are glabrous above, lighter and pubescent below (especially on veins). Leaf size is variable, generally 1-2" long and 0.3-1" wide. Young stems are pale green and pubescent, whereas older stems are gray. Branches spread horizontally and leaves are distichously arranged (in one, flat plane).
