 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Conical to pyramidal and open in youth becoming wide-spreading, flat-topped and picturesque with age. Bluish green in color, with needles in 5's, 1.5 to 2.5" long, stiff and twisted. Appear in brush-like tuft on branches.

Additional Information

The species exhibits good salt tolerance. Although subject to rusts, wood rots, nematodes, and sawflies, none are serious.
