Leaves are alternate and simple, ovate, serrated, 3/4-2" long by 3/8-3/4" wide, and with 11 to 16 vein pairs and pubescent petioles. Trunk has irregular fluting when compared to the typical rounded trunk found in Ulmus parvifolia.

Additional Information

Stunning, multi-colored mottled and exfoliating bark, even on the surface roots. Tends to maintain foliage well during droughts. Grows well under city conditions. Resistant to Dutch elm disease and the elm leaf beetle.
