 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Leaves are rugose, leathery, dark green (but less so than in Viburnum rhytidophyllum), 4-8" long by 2-2.5" wide (wider than V. rhytidophyllum). Flower cluster (3-4" dia.) is smaller than the loose cluster of V. rhytidophyllum. Long naked buds.

Additional Information

Poor tolerance to heavy wind environments. Great plant in the Midwest, flowering in the spring and even sporadically into the fall. Foliage sometimes lasting well into the winter. Prune right after flowering, because new buds for the following year form in the summer.
