Green Vase is a vigorous, fast-growing, vase-shaped variant with upright, arching branches. Widely considered one of the best Zelkova serrata variants and is frequently compared to Village Green. An excellent shade tree, probably one of the best substitutes for Ulmus americana in form and gracefulness, but slightly smaller. A beautiful wood grain for furniture, etc. Minor susceptibility to various elm diseases and pests, but resistant to Dutch Elm Disease.
