White (White flowers in May in numerous, large 4-8" dia. flat-topped cymes)

Diagnostic Characteristics:
The lustrous, dark green leaves (3-7" long by 1-2.5" wide; narrower than Viburnum x rhytidophylloides) are opposite, simple, semi-evergreen to evergreen, ovate-oblong to ovate-lanceolate, leathery, and strongly wrinkled. Long, naked vegetative buds covered in a rusty pubescence. Flower buds are present even in the winter and are much more open than those of V. x rhytidophylloides.
