Leaves are dark green in color with a waxy top layer, opposite, simple, 3-6" in length and width, slightly coarse toothed, and with 3 to 5- lobes that comes to a point. Samaras are 1-1.75" in length and create a horse-shoe shape.

The Bailsta Sugar Maple, sold under the trademark name of Fall Fiesta, has a vigorous growth rate and vibrant fall foliage of yellow, orange and red. It is resistant to heat, drought, and leaf scorch, This cultivar has an excellent symmetrical, round, and upright form.
